What a small team costs
Crowdin is the only vendor with a plan tier named Team. Phrase publishes a Team plan at $1,245/mo, self-service. Lokalise has no plan called Team, but does publish self-service pricing above its entry tier — a sales demo is only required for its Enterprise plan.

Frequently asked
Is there a free trial?
Yes — and on every paid plan, not just some. Pro, Team and Enterprise each include a 30-day trial, no credit card required. You can switch between them during the trial without restarting or shortening it. After the trial, you continue on the Free plan or subscribe.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account automatically switches to the Free plan. You keep all your data — you just can't create beyond the Free tier limits (1 project, 1 user). Nothing is ever deleted.
How do add-ons get billed?
On the same invoice and the same cycle as your plan. Add or remove them at any time from the billing portal; changes are prorated. If you are on annual billing, your add-ons carry the same 20% discount as your plan.
Is it ever cheaper to just upgrade a tier?
Not within the add-on caps — we set the caps so it never happens. If you need more capacity than the caps allow, Enterprise is unlimited and, like every plan here, fully self-service — no sales call required.
Can I self-host for free?
Yes, partially. The image and the desktop app are free to download and run. Both apply the same plan limits as the hosted webapp — on the Free plan, 1 project and 1 user. Self-hosting does not change what you get: your subscription does. Connect the webapp to our central auth with an active paid plan to lift the limits, wherever you run it.
What about the desktop app?
The desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) is free to download and keeps your translations in a local SQLite file — no server to run. It applies the same plan limits as everywhere else: 1 project and 1 user on the Free plan. Signing in goes through your account online, so it needs a connection.
What translation providers are supported?
Google Translate (free tier), Google Cloud Translation API, DeepL, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral AI and self-hosted LibreTranslate. You bring your own API key for each — we never proxy your calls or add a margin.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No long-term contracts. Cancel your subscription anytime from the billing portal and you'll keep paid features until the end of your billing period.
